    What’s the Difference Between Steel and Aluminium?

    You might wonder whether there’s much of a difference between these two types of metal and which one you should choose.

    Aluminium is much lighter than steel, which makes it easier to transport and more versatile. It’s also less expensive, and, as it doesn’t rust, is great for coastal, outdoor uses. It’s the best choice if you need a strong yet lightweight material, for example, as is required by the aerospace industry. So if you’re trying to build your own plane you know what to choose.

    For your hospital bed afterwards, though, you’ll want stainless steel. It’s less likely than aluminium to corrode, making it a better option for situations where hygiene and sanitation are essential. It’s also much stronger and can withstand extremely high temperatures. If cost and the weight of the metal isn’t an issue, the durability of steel means that it’s usually the better choice.
